Yuba County Building Department Field Inspectors

After a building permit has been issued, the International Code Council (ICC) certified inspection staff will conduct field inspections at various stages of construction to verify the work being completed is in compliance with the State building codes, local ordinances, and engineering designs.

Active permit holders may request an inspection.  Inspection requests must be made at least one business day in advance.  All inspection requests received before 4:00pm will automatically be scheduled for the next business day and all inspection requests received after 4:00pm will automatically be scheduled for the day after the next business day.  Please note, do to the high volume of daily inspections, you will not receive a call back or email confirmation.

Inspection Schedule

Inspectors are generally available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 9:00am and 3:00pm to 4:00pm.  To obtain the approximate two-hour inspection window for your inspection, please have your permit number ready and call our main line at (530) 749-5440.
