In order to provide fast and efficient plan check services, we perform in-house plan review performed by our International Code Council (ICC) certified Plans Examiner staff as well as consultant plan review agencies.  We accept both digital (PDF) and paper plans submittals 11" x 17" and smaller.  Before a building permit can be issued, a plans examiner must evaluate structural integrity, construction details and provisions for meeting fire and life safety requirements.  Plan reviews are performed on a first-in, first-reviewed basis. In the event the submittal is incomplete or requires revisions, you may be asked to revise and resubmit plans for additional review.

Plan Submittals should consist of construction plans, supporting design documentation, statement of special inspections, geotechnical report and other data and it shall be submitted electronically through our permit processing website which can be found here. The construction documents shall be prepared by a registered design professional where required by law. Where special conditions exist, the Building Official may require additional construction documents to be prepared by a registered design professional. 

NOTE: The Building Official may waive the submission of construction documents and other data not required to be prepared by a registered design professional if it is found that the nature of the work applied for is such that review of construction documents is not necessary to obtain compliance with this Code.
