This is a completed project.
Project Overview
Due to several large wildfires such as the Camp Fire and Cascade Fire, Recology has been accepting fire cleanup debris at its Ostrom Road Facility at an incredible rate. This increase in heavy truck traffic has taken a toll on Ostrom Road. As these fires were directly tied to PG&E facilities as the cause, PG&E agreed to pay sizeable settlements to several Counties.
Key Planned Improvements
- The proposed project will rehabilitate Ostrom Road to repair damage already done. In addition, the rehabilitations will strengthen the road section so that it will better handle large amounts of future truck traffic.
- The work will included replacing asphalt concrete surfacing (digouts), performing full depth (15") Reclamation (5% cement), placing hot mix asphalt overlay, drainage culverts, and the placement of pavement striping
Project Location
Ostrom Road (from Rancho Road to Recology) in Yuba County
Funding
The estimated $3,000,000 project was funded through the PG&E Settlement.
