Retail Food

helps prevent the spread of food borne illnesses  through permitting and inspecting of food facilities for compliance with basic sanitary practices. The Food Protection Program includes the new cottage food operations, permanent and mobile food facilities, community events, and temporary food booths.

Housing & Institutions

helps protect occupant health and safety through routine, and complaint response inspections. This program focuses on substandard housing conditions including, bed bugs, mold, cockroaches, electrical hazards, & sanitary hazards.

Organized Camps Program

helps control the spread of infectious/communicable diseases, promote hand-washing and good hygiene, improve health monitoring by tracking injuries and illnesses to determine when, where, and how a camper or staff members health is being impacted.

Public Pools & Spas

(Recreational Health) helps prevent disease transmission and accidents through permitting and inspection of public swimming pools and spas.

Body Art Program

The Safe Body Art Act regulates tattooing, branding, body piercing, and permanent makeup. The ordinance requires all body art practitioners to annually register with the County, obtain annual blood-borne pathogen training, provide documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination status, obtain specific health information from clients, and obtain “informed consent” from clients
