What We Do
The Yuba County Administrator’s Office offers communications support to all departments and elected officials in the county through the County Public Information Officer (PIO) and Communications Specialist. This team helps tell the story of Yuba County!
We serve as a liaison between the media/community and County staff/elected officials, in order to facilitate the timely sharing of information about programs, services, and activities. This includes the preparation and distribution of news releases, newsletters, speeches, and other official County documents and publications. The team also helps coordinate social media campaigns, outreach events, and other strategic communications efforts.
The PIO is the designated spokesperson during an emergency, and can act as the spokesperson for a department or elected official.
